Christ Our Shepherd is well known for its music programs. Beginning with programs for elementary children, Christ Our Shepherd offers opportunities for children to sing and play instruments. Both of these programs are on Wednesday afternoons.
sKIDdles is a fun way for children to engage with music and movement. Children sing several times in worship throughout the year.
Children learn music basics through handbells, chimes, and singing. Participants perform during worship services several times throughout the year. M&Ms also perform a musical each semester, which offers opportunities to learn drama skills and gain self-confidence while reinforcing Bible stories.
Summer Camp
Lutheroad Day Camp is a favorite summer experience that happens right at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Creation Speaks through music, arts and crafts, games, nature program and Bible study. This is what the college counselors that travel around the States bring us every year to COS! They also bring a great love of children and a contagious enthusiasm for sharing their faith. Having cool college kids witness to the power of Jesus’ love in their lives leaves a lasting impression with children and they are super fun to be around! This camp is for kids that have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade (meaning rising 6th graders are still eligible to participate).
Lutheridge is part of the NovusWay outdoor ministry camps serving the Southeast. Lutheridge (in Arden, NC) offers week long camps for children, teens and families each summer. Ages: Pre-K - Completed 5th Grade
Join us for an Irish adventure! Each afternoon we’ll be diving into Psalm 23 through music (lots of Irish jigs!), crafts, games, and Bible stories with a fun snack! On Friday afternoon we’ll come together for a big ceili (celebration) to which the whole congregation is invited!
