Loft - High School
Faith formation
LOFT stands for living our faith together and is the name of our high school youth program. We spend our time together learning how God works through us by sending us into the world to be his disciples. Our curriculum is called "Orange," and it focuses on the everyday struggles of teens and God's presence in those struggles. Gatherings are more discussion than lecture. LOFT is always a safe place to express opinions while learning about God’s word.
During the school year, LOFT meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45 p.m. in the loft above the Fellowship Hall.
Summer Activities
Each summer, we keep the fun and service going with a variety of activities. Depending on the year, we might go on a mission trip to service a need in our region, or to a faith formation camp at Lutherock or Lutheridge. Pool parties, tubing in Ellijay, helping at a food bank, Christ Our Shepherd youth do it all!
service & fun!
Our high school students get together at least once a month. We have gone to Braves games and Atlanta United games. We have played Whirly Ball and gone bowling.
Other times, we serve the community with activities such as:
- Serving at the soup kitchen
- Helping at Bloom Closet
- Working at Open Hand Atlanta
- Assisting with the Special Olympics
Whether we are serving together or being silly together, we always have fun!
