Ash Wednesday Worship Services and Soup Supper

Time: 12:15 p.m.; 5:00p.m. (Soup Supper served from 5:30-6:30p.m.); 6:30 p.m.

Community Event | Worship Service

Join us as we prepare for our Lenten journey together. Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church is offering 3 Ash Wednesday worship services.  Communion and Distribution of Ashes will be given at each service.  The service times are 12:15pm.; 5:00pm and 6:30pm. The 5:00pm service will be tailored for families with young children, but ALL are welcomed to attend.

A fellowship Soup Supper will be offered from 5:30 to 6:30p.m. in the Fellowship Hall and we encourage you to join us before or after you attend a worship service.  There is no cost for this meal.

We encourage you to invite others to participate with us in Connecting to Jesus’ Pathway to Joy and Life.

COS Camping Ministry Spring Weekend

Start date: Friday, March, 27, 2020

End date: Sunday, March, 29, 2020

Location: R. Shaefer Heard Campground

Come early Thursday on the 26th, stay late until Monday, the 30th! We worship together at the Common area on Saturday afternoon (site #87)

Theme: Italian Menu for our Saturday dinner 

The COS Camping Ministry would like to offer  “One Night of Free Camping” (reimbursement) to the Camping Ministry First Timers. It doesn’t matter if you have a Class A rig, a tent or something in-between.  Just reserve your site, then come for the weekend.  We want you to enjoy the fun, fellowship, food and worship, so your first night is on us.  Hope to see you at the lake. R. Shaefer Heard Campground is a waterfront facility on the southern shore of West Point Lake, which spans parts of Alabama and Georgia. This man-made lake has 525 miles of shoreline that provide excellent opportunities for fishing, camping, boating and other recreational activities.R. Shaefer Heard Campground offers 117 sites with electricity and water hookups. Other amenities include a dump station, coin laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, and hiking trails.
