ATTENTION ALL SERVANTS OF THE LORD! Do you feel blessed? Would you like to find a tangible way to give back? We can make it easy for you!! Over the weekend after Labor Day, hundreds of congregations of the ELCA will join together for God’s Work/Our Hands, an annual day of service. On Monday, September 8th, we at COS are partnering with Midwest Food Bank to offer our hand in service to Peachtree City and the region for which the Midwest Food Bank provides. Or please consider exploring other opportunities to participate in another way. Think of service at a local school, the Real Life Center, Christian City, Midwest Food Bank, or maybe even one of your neighbors’ homes or yards! If this particular weekend doesn’t work for you, choose another day around that time. The date is not the important part of this, it is all about the SERVICE!

In the words of Martin Luther, “Our faith is a living, busy, active, mighty thing.” With our hands, we can do God’s work of restoring and reconciling communities in the name of Jesus. We’d love to hear from you about your plans to serve! Please email Barbara Anderson at [email protected] with a short report before or after your day of service.
