The Lent season at COS provides many opportunities to draw closer God.
Our Lenten sermon series, Opening Doors, is inspired by The Invitational Christian. This series invites us to discover simple, meaningful ways to live out our faith and extend Christ’s welcome to others.
Be sure to explore the pathways we’ve designed to help you make the most of this Lenten journey—we look forward to walking through this season together.
- Pick up a copy of The Invitational Christian at the table by the front office window for a $5 love offering, and follow along with our weekly sermons and discussion topics as we journey through the series together.
- Take time to reflect on our weekly Lenten devotion, delivered each Saturday evening. Each devotion includes thoughtful questions designed to help you grow deeper in your faith and consider new ways to live out your faithful service. This week’s devotion, written by Pastor Fritz, can be found below.
- Join a Lenten Small Group and set aside just 30 minutes each week to reflect on and discuss our weekly devotion together. Both in-person and Zoom options are available, making it easy to participate wherever you are. If you haven’t yet found a Lenten Small Group, explore the list below and choose the one that works best for you—we’d love for you to be part of the journey.
- Join us for our Wednesday Night Lenten gatherings. Share in our weekly dinner at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall, then continue the evening with a meaningful, short worship service at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary, and check out a Lenten Small Group at 7pm (see our group options below). We hope you’ll make this midweek time of fellowship and reflection part of your Lenten journey.
