Fellowship Event

There is a folk tale in Ukraine that as long as pysanky are made good triumphs over evil for yet another year.

The Pysanky for Peace Project aims to create and collect 100,000 pysanky for the purpose of raising funds to help the ongoing humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, and to bring awareness and share this important cultural tradition of the Ukrainian people.

On Saturday May 14 there will be a Pysanky Party for those who have not yet had a chance to learn the craft of making pysanky.  The class will be from 9-12 in the Fellowship Hall.  All materials will be provided and there will be a basket for donations.  All donations go to the relief effort.  You have the option of keeping your egg or donating it to the Pysanky for Peace project.

On Saturday, May 28 there will be another Pysanky Party for those who have made an egg before and are willing to donate the egg to the Pysanky for Peace project. The class will be from 9-12 in the Fellowship Hall.  All materials will be provided and there will be a basket for donations.  All donations go to the relief effort.

All of the eggs that are donated will be carefully packaged and mailed to the Pysanky for Peace project. The eggs that are donated will be photographed and put on the site’s gallery (https://pysankyforpeace.com/1000000-pysanky/) where people can enjoy the eggs and if they desire they can sponsor an egg with a donation to the humanitarian effort.  The Pysanky for Peace Project aims to deliver the donated eggs to the Ukrainian people after the war ends.
