Strong Foundation
Word from Wiese

Dear Friends in Faith,
“The wise man built his house upon the rock.” Did you ever sing that song, inspired by Jesus’ story in Matthew 7.24-27?
We want strong foundations for all important aspects of our lives. Relationships, homes, financial plans, and more. Especially our refreshed sanctuary!
So how wonderful for a bustling turn-out at our first “Scripture & Signature” event. This past Wednesday evening, middle and high schoolers and adults alike were guided to our new chancel, where they picked up magic markers and bathed that holy platform with God’s word, promises, prayers and hopes.
Check out the pictures below of the evening. Earlier that morning, workers were able to pull up the 35+ year old carpet. If that carpet could talk, huh? Well, it came up much easier than anyone expected, with no special tools required. So, the carpet might have been ready to pass the baton to the new flooring and the creation of more wonderful worship memories.
Please mark your calendars for our second and final “Scripture & Signature” event: the morning of Pentecost, May 19. Come before the 11.00 service or stay after the 9.30 service to sign the sanctuary floor. The sanctuary will be closed once the Congregational Meeting begins at 12.10 PM. But if you stay for the whole meeting, we’ll open it up again 10 minutes more!
Be a part of our church history! Join us for this super unique “God’s Work, Our Hands” event as we symbolically build an extremely strong foundation for our refreshed sanctuary! Enjoy the pictures.
In Christ’s hope,
Pastor Fritz
