The Plot Thickens

Dear faith friends,

Biblical scholars calculate that about 40% of the synoptic gospels are dedicated just to Holy Week.   Indeed, the Gospel of John dedicates about 66% of its content to these events.  That means out of 33 years of Jesus’ life, they zoom in on just 7 days.  Such focus is a heads up for us to “pay attention!” this week.

So instead of asking you to read an extra devotion today, I commend instead your participation at this week’s special services that feature the events about which the gospel writers were so passionate.

May the Holy Spirit guide you and our congregation as we dive deep into Jesus’ commitment to each of us.
