Dear WFW readers, Octoberfest
Time to test your trivia skills! We are really excited about our upcoming Christ Our Shepherd Family Octoberfest taking place on Saturday, October 21, from 4-7 pm at our beautiful property located at 411 Palmetto Road. Thanks to Barbara Anderson, here is a fun way for you to find out a little more about what you can expect.
Note: if you get most of the answers right, swing by the Welcome Booth and see Jaycine Lester for a special gift.
Octoberfest Trivia Questions:
1. Which animal will be there for the kids to take turns riding on?
a. Giant frogs from the lake

2. What food and beverages will be available for us to enjoy?

There is only one possible answer to this question! EVERYONE is invited to the Christ Our Shepherd Family Octoberfest! Please bring your friends, bring a chair or a blanket and join us for a fantastic afternoon of food, fun and fellowship!

Octoberfest Trivia Answers:
1. C – We are very excited to have the folks from Lutheranch joining us on that day with some horses from their stables!
2. E – All of the above!!! All those delicious foods will be available for you to enjoy! The New York Style Hot Dog food truck will be there, our own COS Youth group will be hosting a bake sale with all kinds of delicious, homemade baked goods, and there will be German pretzels and popcorn.
3. A – When’s the last time you went on a HAYRIDE?! We’ll have a trailer full of hay and a tractor to pull it for a fun trip around the lake and a view of the property.
4. D – All of the above!! There will be a wide variety of artisans selling their wares. Besides notecards and papercrafts, jams, sauces and spices, and birdhouses, there will be yard art and sculptures, modern day crochet, flower crowns, farm-fresh eggs, pottery and MORE!
5. C – Soooo many of our incredible COS musicians will be “putting on a show” for your listening pleasure! Several sets of our praise band musicians will be performing crowd-pleasing tunes, our children’s choir will sing, David Beecher will be tickling the ivories and MORE!
6. A – YES! Bring your fishing pole and tackle box and relax by dropping a line in the water. We will also have some fishers there to help the kids learn a little about fishing.
7. B – No. Unfortunately, we cannot ALL take a turn on the inflatable. There is a weight limit of 125 pounds.
8. A&C – We couldn’t book Beyonce, but we do have some amazing musicians in the Cart Path Chorus and Grass Roots Music who will be performing.
9. YES! Our very own Robbi Martin, owner of Art of Landscaping, will be hosting a Children’s Garden area, where she and her team will be teaching about gardening and loving mother earth.

- Am I going to attend outdoor worship at Palmetto Road, which will be held a week earlier than Oktoberfest, THIS upcoming Sunday at 10:30 AM?

Dear God, thanks for giving us this beautiful 33 acres of gorgeous meadows, woods, lake, and river at Palmetto Road. Help us steward it in ways that please you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
